Skiing, freeriding and snowboarding
Want to spend the whole year on the slopes? In Zermatt, you can. It’s a veritable mecca for winter sports enthusiasts, attracting both pros and beginners alike. In winter you can look forward to 360 km of piste and in summer the Theodul glacier boasts 21 km of white powder snow. Freeriders can zoom down 38 kilometres of marked off-piste routes, or fly with Air Zermatt to 10 different heliskiing locations.

Ski touring and snowshoeing
Explore the mountains around Zermatt on an extended ski or snowshoe tour.

Cross-country skiing in Täsch
The 15 km of cross-country skiing tracks between Täsch and Randa are suitable for classic cross-country or skating-style skiing. From Zermatt it takes just 12 minutes to reach the starting point in Täsch.

Sledding / ice skating
Prefer to take things down a gear? Head to the sled run on Riffelberg or do a few laps around Zermatt’s ice skating rink.

For an extra-special holiday experience, take a Zermatt sunrise trip after a hearty mountain breakfast, or go skiing by the light of the moon followed by a delicious fondue party. Equally popular is the First Track offer, which enables skiers to hit the slopes before they’re officially opened to the general public.
